Strawberry Point Tro....

I was wondering if anyone had fished
Richmond Springs or the Maquoketa around
there lately? I finally have a day off
tommorow and was thinking about taking a
trip up there. Last time I was up
there, I got lost and the bugs were
terrible. Hopefully they

Fly fishermen
Started by:captain, Aug/27/10 01:09 AM
If anyone is considering a trip to do
some fly fishing...do it soon. The past
few days have been great throwing a
#16 or #18 tan elk hair caddis.I've hit
at least 12 different streams and this
has been the ticket on every one of
them.Good luck.

North Bear and Coldw....
Started by:Luke9686, Aug/26/10 05:13 PM
If you remember, a few weeks ago I was
asking about fishing the North Bear and
Coldwater Creeks. Well we went up
there, camped at the Chimney Rock
Campground, and fished mostly the North
and South Bears. Didn't have much
success on the South Bear, as it

Made a quick trip up to the Turkey and
Grannis today. Managed a couple nice
keeper Rainbows at the Turkey, plenty of
smallies and even a Walleye. For a
Wednesday afternoon there were more
people there than I expected. Stopped
over a Grannis and fished t

Based on the recommendation of a few

Brookie or Brown????
Started by:munchy71, Aug/23/10 10:07 AM
Okay, so I'm having trouble indentifying
this fish. It has the dark green and
worm-like markings of a brook trout, as
well as the stark white leading edge of
its fins, but in close up it also has
the red & blue spots of a brown trout.
I don't know for su

Like a few others I'm sure, I have more
then a few tacle boxes full of "stuff".
Lotsa rods and reels and fly fishing
equipment. Simply put, I love to fish.
Spring time and panfish...man it doesn't
get better. I had to smile a little

Richmond Springs
Started by:walkma01, Jul/14/10 06:13 PM
Planning on going up to Richmond Springs
tomorrow. Just wondering what shape the
Richmond Springs, or any of the other
trout streams around Manchester are in.
Are they fishable or are they too high
and muddy to fish? Any help would be
appreciated.
