Does anyone know where to get replacement dropper chains for ice jigs/spoons? A big crappie broke the hook off of one of my Pilkies this weekend, and I'd like to fix it. When I rig droppers up for walleye fishing I use stinger hooks, but in this case I'd rather have the same thing that came on it. I've looked around before and can't find them.
Scheels in wdsm had them in January. Might try there.

Shucks Lures- panfish, walleyes, and bass can't get enough of em'. I use them quite frequently. I've also used a stinger hook on mine before when I am in a pinch, but the chain adds some noise and racket to the spoon, haha. Here's the link- http://www.shuckslures.com/
I'll order from shucks, a jigger is the same as a pilkie right?
Yep. a jigger is a pilkie. they also deal in some other products as well
Stitch-you probably have a Shucks jigger-not a Pilkie. The real Rapala Pilkies have not been made in years.
They come with gold or red hooks in a couple different sizes. If you can wait a couple weeks I will pick some up for you and send them your way.
In the Waterloo/CF area they can be purchased at Hank's Bait and Tackle. My only wish is that they had a slightly larger hook on the smaller versions.
One time I got my wife to give me an old cheap necklace and I cut it down into short pieces and bought some small hooks and made my own. Had to use my shop lighted magnafine glass to see what I was doing. Alot heavier and bigger hooks than the factory ones. They last for ever.
Very timely post. I lost a small spoon with a Hali brand dropper chain. Set up a new rig using a Shucks dropper chain. Seem to me that the minnow was able to knot the Shucks brand dropper. Would have to periodically un-kink the dropper. That didn't happen with the Hali dropper chain. Was wonder if anyone else had this problem with the Shucks droppers?
Got Hali replacement chains at Fleet Farm in Mason City Come with quick snaps on both ends or a small teardrop.
