Not a new product, but for me a new use. Rain-X used on boat windscreens makes the spray just roll off. ken

HAHA, that sounds like me except a pack of reds. Well I just bought a house, it works fairly well for being used, but its difficult to use when Im fishing(a little to much work to get it to the lake ya know). Laughing Out Loud

Found an Ameristep blind Clubhouse TSC for a decent price at Sam's club the other day. Have a few places where I can't seem to find a tree. Hope to maybe use it turkey hunting too. Wife got me a same brand Outhouse blind for anniversary present. Should I risk hurting her feelings and tell her I already have a bigger one, or just put up with having two? doc

How come there is never time enough to do things right when there is always time to do it over again? doc

Doc, that is a problem, or maybe a conundrum? Anyway you can look at it two ways. If you can think of a way to tell her gently you can maybe get something else with the credit you would get taking the extra item back. Personally, I think it is worth the chance! The worst that could happen is you would have a two-hole blind. Two exits, no waiting.

I got a new tracker Tundra 18 WT with an Optmax 150. Great boat for walleye fishing. Ended up getting it with the MinnKota Universal sonar Auto Pilot trolling motor. Fun fishing boat!

Doc,

I could of used (one) of your blinds once out in a very large timber in the dead of winter(many moons ago). I was leaving my "mark" right then some woman walked about 30ft from me(out of NO-WHERE!). This timber was out in the middle of a large section. Thank God, her line-of-site was partially blocked by a log-pile(No pun..intended). IMO always take a couple x-tra socks with ya, you just never know.

Just got a new Frabill ice tent (slightly used actually). The wife came home the other day and found me sitting in it, she thought I was crazy (yeah, crazy for ice fishing). Seems to work pretty well dragging it around the yard, so should work pretty well on the ice.

Oh yeah, bought the wife a new bathroom. Hopefully in 2 days I wont have to go all the way downstairs to crap Mr. Green

I hit a good garage sale, last month.....bought, a full sized deer archery target/decoy, four flambough magnum canada goose floaters, two dozen assorted duck decoys, decoy bag, two foam-type turkey jake decoys, three new inflatable/photo finish turkey decoys, a really nice deer carrier, which can be used by hand or towed behind my ATV,(awesome), another handwarmer/muff-type that takes the little heat-packs and a real nice, older brown day-pack(my favorite pick, I really like the design) all of the items in excellant condition and......all of it for 100.00 even.......Do ya think I made a good deal?

Deb lucked out and got a nice pair of insulated camoe bibs, at Cabelas in KC, closeout for 39.95, and nearly matches her jacket, which she got at walmart(clearance) for 19.95......it pays to shop around.

Also bought a new smoker from Cabelas, this summer.....

Look for some great tast'n food to show up at the outings......hope Doc did good on the salmon this year....nothin better than good smoked salmon.....smoked my first, about 20 years ago.....kinda like jerky right out of the smoker or oven, luv that fresh done flavor!!!!! Wink

Also bought a new in box, portable garage(something like 10x20ft).. we will use for a ice-house for 139.00, need the ATV to haul it though. But could be useful and fun for a big outing!

Also, went to an auction last week for a brand new ice auger, along with many, many other items from a large estate auction and he was an outdoorsman!....auger went for 190.00.....still cheaper than retail, but more than I wanted to spend....however, did wind up with about 300.00 worth of really nice or brand new/never used fishing equiptment and tools for 23.00.

All the guns brought a good price....nearly, if not better than new?...actually, saw quite a few items go for retail price.....and some even more....just a heads-up Wink

Bought a CVA Optima this spring, I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet (daughter keeps me pretty busy). I also just bought two new tree stands, The price was right from cabelas. I hung them on a tree in my front yard & they passed the "jump" test, I'm over 300 lbs, so it a pretty good test.

My yote buddy, stopped by the house last evening. He bought an "almost new" rag ghilli suit at the local pawn-shop for $80.00. apparently a guy bought it. Then 2-days later traded it back in. Pretty cool suit. It has a bug liner built into it. It also has wide-mouth netting on the outside so you can apply your camo.

Last thing I bought was a Cabela's trolling rod and countdown reel. Used it in Mn and up at Don Williams. Using the rod and using the info from Precision Trolling and side planers. Opened up a whole new world of fishing for me. Next thing I plan on getting is Ice Fishing gear.

I've been using my new rod and reel since spring, and it's definitely passed all tests. It's a 6'3" St. Croix HMX, custom built by Chuckles. It has American tackle holographic guides, custom wraps, and a custom tennessee handle. I have a Pflueger president 6730 reel on it, and the reel sure is sweet to. Ive never used a reel with a retrieve so smooth. The drag and fit and finish are excellent as well. If anyone is on the market for a sweet smallie or walleye rod and reel, I give them both two thumbs up!

Dave
