I had a baseball game at North HS in the middle of Des Moines this afternoon, and at about 1:30 PM two bucks that looked very similar to the two bucks pictured above this went running down the street toward 2nd ave. Play stopped for a minute so we could watch them. Amazing...smack dab in the middle of the biggest city in Iowa!

I am totally aware of this; I was just surprised by these bucks because there aren't any parks in the immediate area, it was in the middle of the day, and the rut is a long ways off.

the river is right by north and there is a ton of timber back in around there so plenty of habitat for deer to live around there


Only dead fish go with the flow.

These pics are the same buck I keep seeing at my stand. They are over a 3 week period. He's not a huge buck, but I thinks it's cool to see the progression of their growth.
