NW.Iowa We had a he'll of a wind early this morning. NWS reports 83 mph. Lot of tree down and lots of carp floating in water. I'd give it a few days before running wind open in area lakes.

Was fishing at a local lake shortly after ice out a few years ago. A guy I knew comes pulling in with his new to him bass boat and asked
me if I wanted to go for a ride. Sure I says. Get out past the no wake zone an he hammers it. Half way across the lake and doin 60+ I
see what I thought was a grebe up ahead and off to my left. We get to it and fly by,it was a log about 15 ft long and a ft and a half in
diameter. He says "What was that?" I says you don't want to know!

A kid my sister graduated with wound up a paraplegic a couple days after graduation. Watersking and hit a nearly submerged log. Saw a guy take off lower unit cutting between island a point, on Silver. I Don't think he had a clue what the buoy meant. Rolling Eyes
