Caught a limit of fish that were on beds today in central Iowa on a lake. I've never fished the spawn past mid June so quite the eye opener for me today. Not sure if it was a 2nd spawn or the original. What females were caught still had some eggs in them. Maybe things are behind I haven't been out hardly at all this year? Felt good.

We caught quite a few in Chetek, Wis. last week with eggs. The spring spawn was over and they were in 8 to 10 feet of water, mixed in with Crappies and Perch.
