Looking for suggestions on bear taxidermy. Hunt is in Ontario this Sept and if I'm lucky enough to harvest a decent bear I'd like to have a place to take it immediately. I'm near cedar rapids, but will travel for quality work

Where on Ontario and what week? We are going August 15 in Dryden. Chris Hoskins did my dads 3/4 mount and it was great. Dude is just talented. He did 2 deer for me last year.

There were things he could do without declared Reed. "Steaks that don't bleed. Coffee with cream. Guys who don't swear. Boots that leak. Wild animals in cages. Bears trained to do tricks. Cheese that has no smell." Jay Reed

I'll be just south of Red Lake starting labor day weekend. Where is Chris from?

Chris is out Madrid but i think he moved to Colorado. He still is taking mounts out of Madrid. He has a guy that is going to cape them out and store them. He has a lot of family here still so he will make a bunch of trips.

I get that it may be a pain specially for someone using him the first time but for me I will use him cause I know how good he is. You may wait a little longer but I think it is worth it.

I have his cell phone info.

I would contact Brad Coulson Taxidermy near Ankeny. He's not the fastest nor the cheapest but he is one of the best. He's done two full body mount bears for my cousin and a ton of other mounts and they are spectacular.

(515) 289-2789

And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Durk Sterner in Lone Tree: https://www.facebook.com/Durk-Sterner-Taxidermy-164507290242157/

I haven't taken a bear to him but he has a whitetail of mine in his gallery. Completely satisfied with his work. Take a look at the bears he has done.
