Crappie fishing on Coralville used to be pretty good (size & numbers) is it still or has it been fished to death?

It can still be good but during the summer there is tremendous boat traffic. Now that the camping season is slowing down and the water is cooling off it will get better. Still the weekends will have a lot of boat traffic probably through Sept. if it is warm. I would go during the week if possible. Try to locate brush piles and keep moving till you find them. Also where Lake Mc Bride empties into the reservoir can be good for multiple species . There are a lot of brush piles in the coves so you just have to check them out. Good Luck . O - R

There are still some nice ones in the coves, but the weather needs to be cooler. Water gets pretty warm in those shallow coves in the summer. Later this month, it should pick up. Cool
