I've found a few hen of the woods. Last one I found was starting to get a little dried out tho.


Fishing. It's not a way of life. It's more important than that

Hen of the woods last week on my bur oak trees.


You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use WD-40 If it shouldn't move and does, use Duct Tape

It is SUPER dry in in NE MO. I have found a few crap shrooms in the bottom areas and one real tough pheasant back that wasn't worth keeping. I did come across a log over a creek that had a ton on dried up oysters on it. If I would have caught them in prime it would have been a kitchen trash bag full!!!

No hen of the woods yet for me.

Found these Saturday.. Went back and got some today.. First I'd ever eaten.. They're good - certainly not morels - but "what is?" Wink

Hard to say for sure, but that looks like it might be mixed in with some poison ivy so be careful!!

Yep - I trimmed it away before I started cutting and stayed away from the ones that it was directly touching. I'm fortunate in that poison ivy is pretty much a non-issue for me..
