I kayaked the lake for a few hours on Sunday afternoon. Visibility was less than 6 inches as best I could tell. I guess it all depends on your definition of clarity.

Zondy

Is it worth fishing for White Bass or is it still dead?

Haven't been out for a few days and haven't heard much. Have heard of them biting on Rathbun late in the day. Look for the gulls.

I was down there on Sunday and the water clarity was about 1.5 ft. We managed a dozen nice crappies spider rigging.

I was down there yesterday, and water clarity has not changed from a week ago.

Thanks for the help, waiting for the water temps to drop to trigger the fall Crappie bite. It was 60 degrees last week.

I think the temps are there, I saw about 55 yesterday. Really muddy is making the fishing bad though. I bet I couldn't see 6" yesterday.

Was it muddy throughout the lake or just upper end?

I went as far down lake as the eastern side of whitebreast and it was all about the same. Way up in whitebreast was muddy too. I was a little surprised how bad it was.
