Several years back I remember people's tires getting slashed, stands torn down, etc here in Cedar Rapids. Knowing some of the anti-hunter types that live in the Duluth area....doesn't surprise me Rolling Eyes

What does everyone think? They carried them out or just hid them?

What ideas do you have to mark your stands w/o being too obvious?

What a shame that there are people that do this. Was this on public ground?

always wondered if those TAG things that track your lost stuff would work for deer stands. wonder the range. If someone were to develop an inexpensive small device that you could track with GPS at relative short range say 1 mile! I would buy stock in it and become rich! That would deter alot of theft!

Get a tile and duct tape it to a leg, or up under the seat/floor. Most people wouldn't realize what it is to cut it off.

Wow! How on earth is that a connection? If it's an attempt at humor, it's a lousy failure. If its an attempt to take a shot at a group, revealing your own personal bias, you are successful. Your prejudice is exposed. Why even start crap like that?

Yeah, there is harm. Slandering a group of outdoorsman with no connection is uncalled for.

No doubt. I got a little chuckle out of Ducpose's post. It was obviously meant to be a joke. Many on here need to lighten up a bit. Or maybe they need more time in their safe space...

Too bad there was not a camera or two set up to take pictures of the nearest parking lot. I usually make a habit of taking pics of the lisc plates of vehicles in the same lot when I come and go to public land. Never know how much help someone else might be or what/who they might have seen. They may have been there and seen something on a day that you were away. Law enforcement can use all the eyes and help they can get.

It is quite the deflating feeling when you arrive to your stand only to find it gone. I can't stand thieves.
