I'm just assuming this is a "NO," but thought I'd ask.

I have my Iowa CCW. My wife is Korean, and will be applying for her green card in a few months (we live overseas, but moving back). I still have Iowa ties, and residency.

I'm assuming it's not possible for a green card holder to obtain a CCW? How about gun use in the home, in the event of an emergency?

Thanks.

Having a CCW and using a gun are two different things. You don't have to be an American to use a gun here in the states. I am pretty sure you can travel here and hunt. Using the gun at a range, outside or in a home will be fine.

She simply cant carry in concealed.

Well, it appears that she can (at least according to this site?)

Does Iowa issue Iowa Concealed Weapons Permit to resident aliens with a green card?
Yes, Resident Aliens can apply for a Iowa Weapon Permit. On the application form there is a field to enter your alien registration # (ARN) or I-94 non-immigrant admission #.
