As you all know the Ice Outing is just over a month away and the potluck is a big part of what make the outing so much fun. I need volunteers to bring in food and supplies for those who attend. The main things I need help with:

1) Main Dish

2) Side Dish

3) Plasticware

- plates, napkins, plastic cups

4) Clean-up Duty

To try and avoid duplication of effort, I propose we use this thread and I will compile the list from it. Please do not respond to this thread if you aren't volunteering. If you have a question you'd like to ask either PM or email me or start another thread.

If you are brining a main or side dish please be sure to include condiments as needed. If you are bringing palsticware, etc please specify what it is you plan to bring. For now, you should assume we will not have any ability to cook food on site but will have power for things like crockpots, etc. When I get the venue nailed down I'll be sure to let you all know if we have access to a kitchen.

As of now we have right around 50 who have RSVP'd but I know that number is low so as another reminder please RSVP !

Many thanks in advance to those of you who choose to step up and make this a great get-together!

My wife, Kate, will be brining along venison chili and we'll have some stuffed jalepenos as well as stuffed mushrooms. I will also cover the garbage bags.

I had notified Friar that I would bring some chili. Let me know if you are short of food and I can alter the amount (increase) the amount that I make.

Looking forward to the visit.

Deb and I will bring some good food as usual, a large main or two, smoked and roasted turkey and smoked, slow cooked BBQ'd venison hinds, perhaps. Some sides, Debs brocoli, cheese soup, as well as homemade Hot chocolate and of course, some of our homegrown Salsa and chips. We will bring a fish-fryer or two, to handle all the fresh-fish caught or Tators, in skunk event. We have all the plates, bowls, cups, paper towels, utensils already to go in totes, that we put together, when we set up the first Boji outing, and have maintained through donations received from annual outings since. Thanks to those who participate in the spring outings. I don't see anything in the main thread, about Four Seasons Resort, which hosted us on the last venture and is giving IO members a discount again. Members must mention they are IO members when making reservations to get the discount. Please notify the group or have them email me for any further info. As it is the only place right on the lake adjacent to good fishing and close to good shopping open at that time of year for a reasonable rate, other than our sponsor. We will try to be up there by Wednesday or Thursday and we will have a kitchen to work from, if anyone needs to do some Saturday cooking. If there is anything else we can bring or do, just let us know. Wink
