That was what I was referring to. Aren't computers difficult sometimes? Or maybe I need to read directions better....

I would like to say nice bucks to all of you, but the pic of the kid with his first is by far my favorite. Everyone remember to take your kids out, if you don't have kids take someone elses. It is the only way we will be able to hunt when we are older.....

Our group managed this dandy on Saturday:

Nice deer. Looks really tall, mind if i was what part of the state this was in?

Central Iowa. Not too far from Des Moines.

Nate, did someone in your group shoot that big boy or you? either way, a big deer! congrats to whoever.

Thanks. No doubt this was a big deer for us; the biggest I've ever had come within range of me. I was on stand and dropped the doe this big boy was trailing, then fired my last chambered slug into this guy, which landed about 3 inches low -- a gut shot. He dropped, kind of somersaulted, then eventually made his way back to his feet where a younger guy put one more through his neck. Our group rules state the finishing shooter claims the deer, and that wasn't me. I'm a meat hunter anyhow, and like the way our rules are laid out. The memory and picture are enough for me.

Don't have any pictures but got a good story.

our group has 15 tags and we got 8 over saturday and sunday, but still had 7 left to fill.......i hadn't even shot the gun all weekend so i decided to skip school on monday(am a senior in high school), and decided to go deer hunting

well first in the morning had 2 small does walk within 10 feet of where i was sittting in the thickets and turn broadside, but they were to small for me to take so i let them go.

then at about 10 in the morning or so, was sitting in a grove and had 15 deer stop in front of me about 40 yards away(13 does and 2 bucks), they were going to start taking off so i shot the biggest buck first and got him right in the heart, and then the group started to run so i shot 1 more time and got a doe right in the spine and dropped her, and then i took another shot and got another doe right in the head and dropped her(i had to save the meat you know...lol Big Grin ), so our group tagged all three deer and had 4 to go.

then about an hour later i was posted up in a fence line while some guys made a push on some deer in some prarie grass, the deer ran at me and i shot 2 more does while they were on the dead run 60 yards away.....needless to say i dropped both of them with heart shot!

so i figured i had enough shooting for the day so i put the gun away at home until next season and we had 2 more tags to fill.....so i called my best friend and he walked out of high school out the back door and didn't get caught, then a teacher noticed he was missing and he had to go back to school Evil , he walked back in all of his hunting gear...lol

well he finally snuck out agian and we got him his first 2 deer and our tags are all filled now

so i'm not meaning to brag, but must have had my shooting on monday, as i took 5 shots and got 5 deer

lesson learned: skipping school pays off![/u] Twisted Evil
