I am lucky.

Although, a few years ago, I put brakes on my daughters car, she only had it like 2 weeks(it was used). Then, I put another set on 3 weeks later, and another pair of rotors, she had them worn into the vents, both of them, and one of the rotors came off in two pieces. We had a talk. She got a lot better after that conversation.

I used to burn around at 85 MPH, but only go a couple miles per hour over now, and rarely go through brakes. I can't stand tailgaters, so unsafe. I usually slow down really gradually, that gets them, if it doesn't, I go to the shoulder, and let them go on around. Sometimes i let them know they are no. 1, in my book.

An old trick I've used for tailgaters a few times is to drift toward the shoulder and spray gravel on them, only works on roads without concrete shoulders. It has worked well!!
